Fantastic example of law enforcement teamwork! Congratulations on a great job and for keeping our streets safer 💪🏼
📖 On Friday, 11/28 our patrol officers were dispatched to a robbery at Key Bank on Martin Way. The suspect passed a note to the teller, stating he had weapons and he wanted money. He left in a vehicle with the cash from the bank.
Patrol immediately began interviewing staff and reviewing surveillance footage. They were able to determine the vehicle used by the suspect was stolen from a car dealership when the suspect asked to take it for a test drive and never returned, though he did leave behind a copy of his drivers license. Now that they were able to identify him, it was learned that he had several arrests for robbery, eluding and assault. Officers went by his address and did not locate him there, so they began reaching out to other agencies in the area in search of him. 👀
A few hours later, our friends at Nisqually Public Safety Complex advised the vehicle was in the parking garage at the casino, and the suspect was inside the casino. 🚓 Nisqually PD was able to take the suspect in to custody with the help of Thurston County Sheriff.
🚨But wait! There’s more! In our investigation, it was determined that the suspect has been responsible for many other robberies in King County. A search warrant was granted for the vehicle and several items linking him to the robberies were located. He was booked in to jail for robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle, and investigations for the other robberies are ongoing. Great work to all involved in helping us catch this prolific bank robber! 🚓🚓🚓
