About Ilona Lohrey :


Ilona Lohrey is the Deputy Director at GSBA, Washington's LGBTQ & allied chamber of commerce, which represents over 1,300 businesses. Her work focuses on business development, technical assistance, and supplier diversity. She helped create the Ready for Business recovery grant, as well as the Business Academy for small businesses with a focus on LGBTQ-, BIPOC-, and women-owned businesses.


She is passionate about small business and previously ran her family's small business and served as a small business banking manager for Wells Fargo Bank. Ilona identifies as q***r or le***an and dedicates her advocacy work and passion to the LGBTQ+ community to advance equity across the most vulnerable populations. She lives with her wife of 25 years and their two Vizslas in Snohomish County but is deeply rooted in her decades of work in Seattle.

Our First Inspirational Spotlight for the last Women's HERStory Month is Nika Leverett. She is the founder and artist of Nika Leverett- Multidisciplinary Artist.
