New video is up!

We are at 95,000 miles for our Subaru Crosstrek. We took Betsy the Lesbaru in for service this weekend. She had some major service done on the transmission and engine as well as a brake line flush. We ran into a few issues when we picked her up from the Subaru dealership. But managed to handle them without too much issue. All in all it took about 2 days for the service plus re-visit for fine tuning.

We spent some time out and about and went to Costco for some groceries and some new towels! May not seem like a big thing, but we really wanted to get new towels. We've had the same towels for about 6 years or so and they are a bit worse for wear.

While Betsy was in for servicing, we decided to make a day of it and go out and about on the town. Purses had never been to B&I Marketplace, so we went on a walk through to see what kinds of things they have there. There are some restaurants and locally owned business that are setup inside. Really great to support local businesses and families.

Once Betsy was back in hand, we headed down to the waterfront along Ruston Way to enjoy the beautiful day in the Pacific NW.

We capped off our weekend with dinner at Dusty's Hideaway, went to a comedy show at Parable and we also attended a fundraiser in support of Howdy Bagel in Tacoma.

After the evening out and about, we came home to give Rico some much needed love.

It's been a fun week. We decided on some snippets of the week to share with you. Our diet has been consistently changing over the past three to four months. We have been focusing more on a vegetable and fruit based diet. It's so strange that a lot of frozen foods have preservatives or added sodium in them. So we have adjusted to include raw vegetables that we prep ourselves rather than using frozen things for smoothies, stir fries and other things.

Purses' heart health journey meant they were wearing a Zio Patch heart monitor for a month. This meant there was no way to submerge it in water. So, with the heart monitor off, Purses has been able to be in the pool more often doing laps and underwater planks for a core workout.

Ryan Mello is running for Pierce County Executive. We attended a kickoff event for him and are so excited to see his journey through the cycle.

Pocket has been working on a puzzle for the past week or so. Really both of us have. (but primarily Pocket) It's been great to take a breath and relax doing a puzzle together. This puzzle is from the show "Friends" and we loved taking the time to put it together.

Of course, Rico our amazing Chihuahua makes an appearance in the video as well! We never forget about our amazing dog and being there for him. He's such a joy around the house for us.

This week we tried a new recipe. It's a vegan chicken pot pie with jackfruit and all sorts of veggies. Pocket even made a homemade pie crust for the top. It was super tasty and we highly recommend the recipe.

Rico our amazing Chihuahua has also been feeling left out. So this week we've included a bunch of video of him out and about at the dog park and chilling at home with us. He's really the cutest floofer out there!

We had a fun weekend at Ocean Shores over the weekend. Great to get away, sit in front of the fire and read some books. We are celebrating a birthday tomorrow. Turning another umpteen years old. Little narration and some b-roll video for you. Couple fun sound effects :-D

Over the new year we hosted a tamale making party with Pocket as our executive chef! Super fun time. Lots of prep work for sure. Shout out to Pocket for doing such a great job!

So we made a fun lil video… Talking about celebs and whether we would smash or pass. We each chose 10 celebs for one another to comment on. Kinda fun! It’s our first sit down video. Would love to hear what you think.

This is part of the 30 day video challenge. The goal was to do a talking head type video with minimal editing to be more comfortable in front of the camera. This challenge has been fun. We have roughly 15 videos out so far. Just us doing our thing 🙂

We are officially launched on YouTube! So fun to create things from scratch. Really having fun with creating new videos and upping my video editing skills.

I've been video editing for about 15 years, but I'm teaching myself a new program. So... Things are a bit of a hot mess and Pocket and I are excited for a YouTube chapter!
