P6 Scheduler, project based – full time, contract (1099)
Babinec Consulting LLC (BCLLC), based in Seattle Washington, is a woman-owned consulting company providing a wide range of consulting services for its clients. BCLLC is currently seeking an individual with 8+ years’ experience in the project scheduling profession, interested in working on an upcoming project on a fulltime, project/contract (1099) based basis.
Contract/Project duration: approximately 4.2 years.
The P6 Scheduler responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate the preparation of baseline detail schedules, progress curves, milestone lists and resource profiles based on defined project ex*****on philosophies.
• Schedule key activities, float management, milestones, timely updates, construction sequencing, analysis of risks coupled with a resolution.
• Evaluate and report schedule deviations, critical paths and schedule constraints.
• Identify schedule related problems which arise during project ex*****on and recommend corrective actions and creative solutions.
• Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule.
• Lead and/or participate in interactive planning sessions in partnership with key disciplines / stakeholders.
• Utilize strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of employees to achieve company and project goals.
• Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
• Meet all contractual compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, graphically).
• Perform Time Impact Analysis and develop fragnets.
• Perform Schedule Risk Assessments.
Job Requirements:
• Broad experience with and advanced (expert) proficiency using Primavera (P6) scheduling software, 8+ years.
• Project Controls experience working as a planner/scheduler on construction project work (maritime/shipbuilding experience is preferred).
• Strong experience in preparation of reports inclusive of impacts, logic changes, float and delays Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Able to work independently of direct supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel on short duration assignments.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture required; or any degree with construction/design-related experience.
• Ability to self-prioritize and self-start projects and task work.
• Ability to effectively multi-task similar activities in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Must be fully vaccinated or be willing to become fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious accommodation by date of hire to be considered.
Willingness to travel:
• 10% if working at client site, up to 25% if working remote.
Preferred Job Requirements:
• Maritime/Shipbuilding project management/scheduling experience.
• Strong experience with IFS ERP.
Desired Certifications:
• PMP from PMI
• Primavera P6
