We worked with King County Health Through Housing, to transform the former Kirkland La Quinta hotel into 101 new supportive housing apartments. It is named the Sheila Stanton Place and will be managed by Plymouth Housing. It was a pleasure to collaborate with King County and our team of excellent engineers to make this happen. Thank you to Sider+Byers, TFWB, LPD Civil Engineers, IDE Structural Engineers, and Wetherholt. Deacon Construction tackled with grace all the challenges of this renovation project.

The World Cup has created such amazing opportunities to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the many cultures and people that make the PNW so great. It's been wonderful being in the middle of these events and seeing families and friends sharing together.

Evoke Studio and ARC Architects have been collaborating with Tubman Health for a new wellness center in south Seattle. The façade of the building was inspired by Harriet Tubman’s shawl and the patterning found in traditional African and Indigenous fabrics and motifs. Healers across many cultures have worn shawls or wraps. We have used the shape found in many of these motifs as part of the shawl that will wrap the façade. The shawl symbolizes embrace, warmth, and protection — all qualities we want this center to hold.
