AURORA POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING ON CITY’S NEAR EAST SIDE

On November 7, at approximately 11:43pm, Aurora Police officers responded to a report of two people shot in the 200 block of S. Fourth Street. The Department also received a ShotSpotter alert for multiple gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims, ages 19 and 20, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Aurora Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and transported the men to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and are currently in stable condition. No other injuries were reported during the incident.

Detectives from the Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Bureau responded to the scene and began investigating the specific circumstances of the incident. Evidence Technicians also responded to the scene to identify and collect forensic evidence from the shooting.

The investigation into the incident remains active. Anyone with information is asked to call the Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division at (630) 256-5500.
