Students need wellness education in PRACTICE, not in theory to apply techniques & tools IRL
mariotti did this beautifully when he founded the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship to at-risk youth in NYC in 1987.

Not only does offer entrepreneurial training to students, educators & public school leadership but they prioritize students having real stake & equity in the game by pitching scalable opportunities that could win funding & enter the market today.

Education in theory is as good as dead.

In order to prepare students for college & careers, we need to have the ability to help students apply mental health & wellness principles outside of public education & in their social lives, now.

When it comes to overcoming peer pressure, substance abuse or risky decision making…

Students need more than the ability “to just say no”

They need clarity to know what they’re saying yes to when they say no, & to stand on business about continuously making virtuous decisions.

The provides a neutral, ethically sound framework for students to identify core, shared values.

Supporting not only a students social identity but the development of their self identity as well. ⚡️

In the age of AI & our expanding digital landscape, traditional academic models alone aren’t going to cut it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And with employers prioritizing digital literacy, innovation, adaptability & problem-solving, incorporating entrepreneurship into public school systems supports students future economic mobility & development.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Within our wellness curriculum for public schools, we teach students entrepreneurship & digital literacy to become aware of industry’s within the market, areas of opportunities & product-market fit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not only does this diversify their skills & opportunities, it builds self efficacy, market value & accountability, all of which are supportive skills for college readiness & career advancement.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did you learn entrepreneurship in school?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If so, how did it support your economic, social or educational mobility?

Economic mobility is a top priority in public education policy
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But most frameworks only measure 4 main qualifiers...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And they’re missing the emotional drivers that actually set economically viable students apart from those who are economically disadvantaged.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The main 4 qualifiers include:
- Housing
- Healthcare
- Jobs
- Education
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, these qualifiers focus solely on external factors without taking into account the development of:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•emotional resilience
•skills & aptitude
•self image & social identity
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These is why we incorporate our 5 internal elements into our “whole child” wellness curriculum for public schools.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to the National Institutes of Health, “resilience is now identified as a key component informing, ‘personal development’ by the English national school inspection framework (Ofsted, 2019)... Firstly, a sense of self-esteem & confidence, secondly a belief in one’s own self-efficacy & ability to deal with change & adaptation, & thirdly, a repertoire of social problem-solving approaches.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A students internal beliefs about themselves, their social standing & the world around them inform what jobs they choose & overall economic mobility.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are your thoughts on our 5 Missing Elements of Economic Mobility, & do you believe they should be included in public education?

Performative wellness is exiting the building but you already knew that.

With consumers growing fatigued of over optimization, watered-down opinion pieces & trends promising to save you…

Which means the market is subconsciously seeking highly-skilled & tenured wellness experts.

Aka, they’re looking for wellness professionals like you, with years of proven experience & credibility.

But it’s not just the consumer market who’s seeking your skills & proven outcomes, corporations have 6-7 figure annual budgets set aside for health and wellness to support team performance, executive functioning & reduced healthcare costs…

Not to mention, civic infrastructure advancement for public sector organizations.

The time is up for fitness enthusiasts & slow wellness opinion pieces that provide ‘flash in the bucket’ ⚡️results.

Now, it’s about “process over spectacle & quiet consistency” as puts it, with measurable results.

Has your passion for your work left the building?

I know quite a few seasoned wellness entrepreneurs who are feeling this way right now & just last year, I was feeling this way myself.

You probably started off the first several years of you business following your passion but now feel stuck in a rut and lost as to what to do next...

said it best on podcast...

Passion is not purpose.

Passion is emotional and
Purpose is positional...

Passion can be fleeting and unpredictable, so following it might not always lead you to your purpose.

However, you become more aligned in your purpose as you identify your skills & aptitude based on your personal values, & apply them in the industries that find your areas of expertise most valuable 💰

And if you’ve been in your industry for several years, i already know you’ve amassed high level skills you can leverage in the right market.

Has your purpose bubble 🫧 popped or are you on your purpose track?
