Huge thanks to Lio Martinez for joining us on this week’s Sesh Sundaze and sharing his perspective on culture, education, and showing up as your authentic self.

In the spirit of Pride Month, we’re thinking about the courage it takes to be open about the parts of ourselves that society doesn’t always embrace. For some, that’s who they love. For others, it’s being honest about their relationship with the plant in places where stigma still exists.

So, we want to hear from you: what’s your “green coming out” story? 🍃

When did you first feel comfortable sharing your connection to the plant with friends, family, or your community?

Share your story below. 💚

Okanogan County is considering new restrictions that could limit the growth and expansion of cannabis operations in the region.

Love it or question it, local decisions like these shape the future of Washington cannabis just as much as state law.

Legalization wasn’t the end of the conversation. Stay informed. Stay engaged.

Washington legalized the sale of the plant.

But did we preserve the culture?

In this clip, our Head Baker explores how regulation, pre-packaging, and limited access have changed the consumer experience and why culture deserves a seat at the table alongside commerce.

What do you think WA got right? What did we lose along the way?

The plant industry was built on passion, hustle, and people learning in real time. That freedom created innovation but it also left gaps in training, leadership, and long-term sustainability.

Not every great operator comes from formal education, and not every lesson can be taught in a handbook. At the same time, opening a business without strong foundations can lead to avoidable losses for teams, brands, and communities alike.

Maybe the answer isn’t rigid corporate structure but a stronger commitment to developing people, sharing knowledge, and preparing leaders to grow alongside the industry goes a long way.

Last week on Sesh Sundaze

We discussed the DEA’s recent order declaring HHC and other lab-derived cannabinoids federally illegal, reinforcing their stance that chemically converted h**p cannabinoids are considered synthetic and not protected under the Farm Bill.

What does this mean for the h**p industry, consumers, and the future of cannabinoid regulation?
