It's 2024, and we're still blind to the humanity around us.
This is disgraceful.
The environmental service worker cleaning floors at dawn, the restaurant employees working double shifts, the delivery driver racing against time—these aren't extras in our world. They're the very fabric of our society.
Without them, there is no us.
We've normalized invisibility and let prejudice dim our vision.
It's time to wage war on our biases and acknowledge the person behind the uniform, the life behind the name tag.
Recognize the humanity in every interaction.
To every "invisible" worker: You're not just your job. You're a tapestry of experiences, loves, and ambitions. I see you. I honor you.
Our battle cry: No more us vs. them. It's no longer some of us; it's the sum of us.
We must make a conscious effort to first see others, and ourselves, as that label which will never fade: people.
