I’m proud to support Community Gearbox and its founder Dante Garcia, who has built an inspiring and innovative platform aimed at leveraging sharing economy philosphies to transforming how communities access and share material goods. 🌿
What is Community Gearbox? It’s a groundbreaking app that allows individuals and groups to gather, share, co-own, and manage outdoor gear collectively. With this tool, communities can easily track, maintain, and borrow gear—moving beyond individual consumption and embracing a more sustainable, collective approach.
Why does this matter? Community Gearbox is addressing a core issue tied to the climate crisis: overconsumption. By encouraging gear sharing and co-ownership, they’re creating a circular economy that promotes collective abundance, where material well-being is shared rather than pursued individually.
Where are they based? Rooted in the Pacific Northwest, Community Gearbox currently serves communities in California, Oregon, and Washington, with plans to expand nationally and beyond.
If you’re passionate about the outdoors and sustainability, I encourage you to check out Community Gearbox! Interested in supporting or even joining the team? Send them a message.
