* Providing curriculum design, training facilitation, policy development, and technical assistance on a variety of issue areas including diversity training in the corporate setting; the provision of culturally competent health and social services for gay, le***an, bisexual, and transgender youth and adults; and anti-oppression training in organizations and colleges.
* Strategic communications planning and developing effective social awareness campaigns using new media.
* Event planning of small to medium scale fundraisers and/or culture making community artistic showcases. Individual Coaching & Mentoring in the areas of:
* Personal and career transitions;
* Surviving and thriving as an activist and/or leader;
* Increasing self-esteem and confidence in personal and professional relationships and settings;

King County Metro Transit has an exciting opportunity for a Special Duty Assignment (SDA)/Term Limited Temporary (TLT) Training and Engagement Operations Project Program Manager II to support our Organizational Health and Development (OHD) Section in Employee Services. This position is anticipated to last 1-year and may be used to establish a pool of eligible candidates for future SDA/TLT openings in the same classification that may occur within 6 months at the discretion of the hiring authority.

The Training and Engagement Operations Project Program Manager II will be responsible for managing the work of the implementation of mandatory King County and/or Metro Transit programs, including but not limited to coordinating in person and virtual training implemented by the Learning and Development team, managing employee volunteer opportunities, support surveying, the operations functions of the OHD section, as well as supporting other teams across the section in events coordination as needed. OHD’s priority is to ensure that Metro’s workplace culture is one that centers respect, safety, accountability, and is rooted in organizational health, equity, and belonging.

Training and Engagement Operations Project Program Manager II
This position is open to all King County employees and the general public.
King County Metro Transit has an exciting opportunity for a Term-Limited Temporary/Special Duty Assignment Training and Engagement Operations Project Program Manager II to support our Organizational Health and Development (OHD) team in Employee Services. This position will report to the Senior Policy and Internal Strategy Manager. The Training and Engagement Operations Project Program Manager II will be responsible for managing the work of implementation of mandatory King County and/or Metro Transit programs, including but not limited to Employee Engagement Surveying, surveying on experiences of discrimination and harassment as well as mandatory training implemented by the Learning and Development team. They will work closely with the Learning and Development team to support the implementation of training that meets agency, and employee needs as well as other teams across the section as needed.

Borealis Philanthropy: Disability Inclusion Fund
The Disability Inclusion Fund (DIF) supports U.S. groups run by and for disabled people to lead transformational change. The DIF is launching a $200,000 rapid response fund to provide support for organizations on the front lines that are serving people with disabilities during COVID-19. This will include support for mutual aid, organizing, policy, and systems-change advocacy. Applicants can request a maximum of $15,000 to support their COVID-19 efforts. The application deadline is May 6, 2020.

Circle for Justice Innovations: Strategic Opportunities Support Rapid Response Fund
The Strategic Opportunities Support (SOS) Rapid Response Fund has always provided flexible and immediate funding to organizations responding to changing political landscapes and working to build collective power at critical junctures. PeopleForBikes Invites LOIs for Spring 2020 Community Grant Program
Deadline: January 17, 2020 (Letters of Intent)

The PeopleForBikes Community Grant Program provides funding in support of important projects that build momentum for bicycling in communities across the United States, including bike paths, lanes, trails, and bridges, mountain bike facilities, bike parks and pump tracks, BMX facilities, and end-of-trip facilities such as bike racks, bike parking, bike repair stations, and bike storage. The organization also funds some advocacy projects, such as Ciclovías or Open Streets Days and campaigns to increase the investment in bicycle infrastructure.

Through the program, grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded in support of engineering and design work, construction costs (including materials, labor, and equipment rental), and reasonable volunteer support costs. In the case of advocacy projects, the organization will fund staffing that is directly related to accomplishing the goals of the initiative.

Letters of Intent are due January 17, 2020. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full project proposal by April 3, 2020.

To be eligible, applicants must be a nonprofit organization with a focus on bicycling, active transportation, or community development; a city or county agency or department; or a state or federal agency working locally. Projects must be based in the United States.
