🚨 Service Update – Weather Delay 🚨

Due to extreme temperatures combined with hazardous road conditions, Ditzfeld Container Services will not be running routes on Monday, January 26 for the safety of our drivers and customers.

📅 Adjusted Schedule for the Week:
• Monday routes → Tuesday
• Tuesday routes → Wednesday
• Wednesday routes → Thursday
• Thursday routes → Friday
• Friday routes → Saturday

Please have your containers out by 6:00 a.m. on your adjusted service day.

To let the person in this white Dodge truck just know we have turned over the video evidence to the Pettis County Sheriff Department of you dumping trash in our parking lot. One of our drivers got your tag information. You will have until 4pm today to come pay your disposal fee.

To for warn other dumpers and trespassers we have video coverage of our lots and will prosecute.

Ditzfeld Container currently has openings for Roll-Off drivers or Compactor drivers. The minimum license requirement for either position is a Class B.

We are looking for individuals who, preferably, have experience driving either type of vehicle. We are also looking to hire a couple of individuals who will be 'helpers' for the route drivers.

Ditzfeld Transfer is seeking a reliable Wash Bay employee to join our team. This position will be responsible for washing trucks and trailers daily, using a hand-held sprayer/wand.
Requirements include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
Work in a fast paced environment
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Wash Bay experience is preferred
Position is Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.

2/19 Trash Services Update:

We are currently running Wednesday trash routes, but due to road conditions and freezing temperatures, we may not be able to access some rural areas. Additionally, due to freezing temperatures, two of our trucks are inoperable for the day.

We will attempt to complete any missed Wednesday stops on Thursday, 2/20. Normal Thursday routes (2/20)are on schedule as planned.

We will provide updates on any further changes. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges.

Update on Trash Pickup Delays as of 1/15/25:

Over the past two days, our crews have been working hard to catch up on routes impacted by last week’s severe weather. However, there are still areas we cannot safely access due to icy roads and snow-covered driveways. If your dumpster requires us to back off a county road for pickup or if you have a bag stop, it may not have been collected yet.

We kindly ask that you leave your trash out as we will continue attempting to service inaccessible areas over the next three days. Rest assured, we will pick up any extra trash that has accumulated.

Safety is our top priority. While personal vehicles, school buses, or delivery trucks may be navigating these roads, our trash trucks weigh approximately 28,000 pounds and require much more space to maneuver safely. Below are photos illustrating some of the road conditions our drivers are facing.

Due to worsening road conditions, we regret to inform you that we will be unable to service Friday’s stops located outside of the Sedalia city limits.

However, we will make every effort to complete commercial pickups within the city limits.

Once again, we would like to inform you of an updated residential rural pickup schedule:
• Monday pickups: Rescheduled to Monday, January 13
• Tuesday pickups: Rescheduled to Tuesday, January 14
• Wednesday pickups: Rescheduled to Wednesday, January 15
• Thursday pickups that we could not get today due to road conditions: Rescheduled to Thursday, January 16

To accommodate the missed service from this week, we will collect additional trash, within reason, next week.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as current road conditions continue to make it unsafe for our crews to access rural and county routes.

Friday pickups remain on schedule for now. However, especially with the potential weather coming in tonight, there may still be areas and dumpsters we are unable to safely access. We are committed to doing our best and will provide further updates if weather or road conditions necessitate additional changes.

Trash collection for the cities of Lincoln, Windsor, and Green Ridge was completed where it was safely accessible.
