I used to think I just wasn’t doing it right.
After trying all the tools: meditation,
breathwork, setting intentions to relax and be in the moment, thinking“only good” thoughts…
some days my mind still wouldn’t stop racing, even at night.
I felt like a failure who couldn’t make it work…
But here’s what I realized when I started learning more about the nervous system:
you can’t think your way out of a stress response.
The body doesn’t care for affirmations when you’re in survival mode.
This practice works differently.
It redirects your brain to physical sensation — and your mind literally cannot race and track that sensation at the same time.
Do it when your chest is tight after a hard conversation.
When you’re wired and can’t shut your brain off at night. When everything feels like too much.
Two to three minutes is all you need and you can literally do it anywhere.
