David "Mr. Overdrive" Crowe - Louisville, Kentucky
Every great player has a strong foundation, and this Top Producer built his career under the hood.
Before joining the WIT family in April 2019, he developed his automotive expertise through hands-on experience across several areas of the industry. He began his career with Manheim Cox Enterprises as an automotive inspector and technician before moving to Ford as a diesel and automotive technician. He later expanded his skills working for a bus company, specializing in complete engine and transmission swaps—building the knowledge that would make him a trusted resource for customers today.
Since joining WIT, he has continued turning that technical experience into customer success, helping builders and shops find the right solutions while earning the respect of teammates and customers alike.
Away from work, you'll usually find him in the garage bringing his Ford Mustang Fox Body back to life, cheering on Duke Basketball, or spending quality time with his wife and three children.
When it's time to eat, steak and seafood are always at the top of the lineup.
His transmission lineup includes two favorites. The 6R80 earns the starting position because, when built correctly, it can handle serious horsepower in street and strip applications. The dependable 4R70W rounds out the roster as one of his favorite units thanks to its simplicity, reliability, and ability to deliver excellent street performance.
