She has created, facilitated, and personally taught university courses including an acclaimed Introduction to Professional Development course that was deemed an essential curriculum component for a prestigious business school. Brenda’s articles on career advising have been published nationally, she is in demand for presenting at regional conferences, and she is frequently quoted in print and on line as an expert on employability and career preparation. Brenda has served as president, webmaster, and publication committee chair for the Central Pennsylvania Employment Consortium. She has been appointed to the government Zoning Hearing Board in her community and has extensive experience in nonprofit volunteer leadership. Brenda is also a member of Soroptimist International, a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. She has worked as a psychiatric technician and a mental health specialist in addition to her experience in university admissions, career services, and alumni relations.
