SCAM ALERT- So you decided you need to rent a Dumpster, you call the local companies that you are familiar with and don’t like the cost. You keep looking on the internet and you find a company that is a lot cheaper than the local companies that you are familiar with and order a Dumpster. You are now dealing with a third party that typically doesn’t own any Dumpsters and may be a scammer. Here’s the scam, you pay them with clean money (most likely a credit card or some type of a money transfer app) they order the Dumpster through the local company that you didn’t like the price and pay with a stolen credit card from a past customer. You might actually get the Dumpster but eventually when the local company gets charged back for the stolen credit card you are on the hook and will end up with a mechanic lein on your property and possibly the Dumpster load in your yard. Remember the old saying that if it sounds to good to be true it’s probably not true. We just were a victim of this scam and now will have to make changes to our Dumpster orders. Shop local and remember we haven’t been in business for 44 years by accident. Thank you to our loyal customers!

So sometimes customers ask if they can have something out of our scrap pile, sometimes it’s a no, sometimes we will sell it to them and sometimes if they have a scrap load we may just tell them to weigh out with the item and just make a even trade. This customer thought we wouldn’t notice the dumb bells missing so when no one was looking he loaded them into his truck, bad idea and a good way to get arrested or kicked out of the yard. This dummy was driving a company truck. Our head of security (Cassie 😂) quickly located on our camera footage the crime. I called him and left a message to bring them back or I was calling his boss and the Police. After a week or 2 he came to his senses and left them at our door with a note. Glad he realized it wasn’t the value that was the problem it was the principal of what he did. Glad to see at the end of his letter that he is still in the Holiday Spirit 😂 Happy Holidays!
