Allerdice Enterprises, LLC Owner and Chief Consultant, James (Jim) K. is an expert in the design and implementation of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) Systems. Allerdice was the Chief Designer of the Area Navigation (RNAV) infrastructure for the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). He pioneered new and innovative designs such as the Equivalent Lateral Spacing Operations (ELSO
) based on the MITRE Study, which enables reduced divergence RNAV Off-The –Ground (OTG) departure operations. The ELSO design was predicted to increase departure capacity between 8-13 operations per hour and has equaled or exceeded those expectations since full implementation in 2011. Allerdice was also heavily involved in the research and development of Optimized Profile Descents (OPD). Through collaborative efforts with Georgia Tech and the FAA, some of the first OPD Standard Terminal Arrivals (STAR) were designed and implemented within the Atlanta Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) (A80) and Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) (ZTL) airspace. Allerdice also worked on other pioneering efforts such as RNAV Visual Flight Procedures (RVFP) Established on Required Navigational Performance (RNP) (EoR) approaches, and RNAV Closely Spaced Parallel Operations (CSPO) procedures. Allerdice is available for consulting both domestically and internationally. More information is available on the Allerdice Enterprises, LLC website at: www.allerdice-enterprises.com
