This was an interesting étude in design and ex*****on. I cannot divulge the exact problem this construction solves, but the exercise was to design and build framework that folds in and out on itself. The eventual application of the design will be to provide the effect of a Mad Magazine fold-in of the 60's and 70's.

Some final tweaking needs to be added, but we've met the requirement.

At the Chamber of Commerce luncheon in April I learned a valuable lesson. As a rule, most people fail to comprehend generalists.

At the luncheon, I was challenged to articulate what it is that SPS actually does. I began by saying, "I solve unusual problems for businesses and individuals." As I started to list some examples, another attendee blurted out, "Oh, so you mean technology." The moment was not a good one to seize.

I have spent five decades solving problems by acquiring skills and the tools to support them. Neither I nor my skill set fit into a tidy, equal-sided box. Technology is merely one of the problem-solving tools I've mastered.
