Congratulations to our two local Dorothy Urbach Prize winners, Jenny Rutledge and Paul Paquette! Both Jenny and Paul caught the heaviest fish in the local anglers division and reeled in $1,000 each! This prize is generously sponsored by the Urbach family and their friends as a way to honor the memory of Dorothy- a beloved community member, Salmon Derby angler, and friend.

The official 71st Annual Seward Silver Salmon Derby prize list is here! Way to get out there and reel in some solid silver catches 🎣

If you’re a prize winner and missed the Awards Ceremony, don’t fret! We’ll be reaching out to all prize winners by email over the next couple days with information on your prize distribution. With lots of prizes to process please allow us time to get everything prepared! Per Derby rules, prizes will be distributed within 21 days.

We had a two way tie for both 10th place and smallest fish of the derby! Per derby rules, we flipped a coin to determine the prize winner.

A big congratulations to all of our 2026 Derby winners! And thank you again to all of our anglers, sponsors, volunteers, and community for making it such a great year!

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026 Derby Champion, Kodi Straight of Anchorage, with his 15.41 lb silver salmon he brought in on Day 1- right at 7:58pm before we closed the booth for the day! He wins the $10,000 grand prize + $500 of frogg toggs gear! 🤘

The 71st Seward Silver Salmon Derby is off to a great start! Kodi M. Straight is in the lead since day 1 with a 15.41 lb silver. We have already weighed in 3,277 lbs of fish and all the proceeds go straight to fish restoration! 🎣
