Our BNI Power Team, live in action!🤝

Today, I had the opportunity to step outside our weekly meeting and see three of our own members doing what they do best — working together, supporting one another, and serving their clients.

Small Talk = Small Results?

This morning, Joe Gillis gave us some great networking education on small talk—and what happens when we get stuck there.

Small talk isn’t bad. In fact, it can be the doorway to a meaningful business relationship. It helps us break the ice, find common ground, and make people feel comfortable.

Small talk should be a doorway, not a destination.
When we stay on the surface, we may have a pleasant conversation, but we may miss the opportunity to truly connect, learn how we can help someone, or discover a great referral.

Try taking the conversation one step further:

💬 “I’ve been thinking about what you said last time.”
💬 “That idea you shared really stuck with me.”
💬 “What’s something good that’s been keeping you busy?”
💬 “How can I help you?”
💬 “What can I do to assist you?”
The goal isn’t to have more conversations. It’s to have better conversations.

This morning's BNI meeting had all the excitement of The Price Is Right as our featured presenter, Kimberly Tobias Lewis with Real Estate Innovations, invited everyone to "Come on down!" for her Real Estate Edition of the classic game show! 🏡🎯

From guessing home values to testing our real estate knowledge, there were plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and valuable takeaways. The only thing we didn't give away was a new car! 🚗😂
