I feel compelled to say something, so my “bleeding heart” is gonna say it. As it pertains to my life (so it also pertains to my business) EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE is welcome in my shop (and in my life!). Not only welcome, but welcome with love, respect, joy and friendship. I know I’m not some sort of big “influencer”, but I do have a voice (as we all do). I have a relationship with God, and no, I don’t speak on it, because, well…keep reading. And my relationship with God may not look like yours, but guess what? My relationship with God is mine, and yours (or lack thereof) is your own. But MY God is a loving God. He doesn’t shun or reject the less fortunate, he doesn’t love you less because of who you love, he doesn’t even love you less if you don’t believe in Him. I strive to live a life that shows His love by treating others with kindness, by offering a listening ear, by helping when I can, by supporting those who are hurting, by being a good friend, by showing LOVE. Like Jesus did. I will not tolerate anyone telling me I’m “doing it wrong”. And I will ALWAYS support others no matter the subject, no matter what the Bible says, because it is NOT my job to judge. To be clear, I don’t care what you’ve done, who you love, what you believe in, just as much as I don’t care about the shirt on your back. As Methodists, Catholics, Evangelicals, etc etc, we need to do a better job at just showing God’s love in ways that make sense to the people we encounter on a daily basis. THAT’S witnessing. If we spent a little less time judging other humans (which is wild to me, as we are ALL sinners), think of the impact we could make by just showing LOVE? Anyway. That’s it. That’s the post.
