Two Pines said goodbye today to our most beloved office manager and longest staff member. For 17 years, Mattie was the quintessential Two Pines ambassador enthusiastically greeting employees and visitors alike. During her career, she modeled drying racks for a well-known archaeological supply company, kept a close supervisory eye on employees, and made sure everyone was well-supplied with stuffed provisions. The office won’t be the same without her. God speed darling Matilda.

We are so excited to hear from one of our students doing an internship this summer. Grace G. took advantage of the networking that Dr. Kaiser is always talking about and secured this intern opportunity working for a friend of none other than Dr. Kaiser. Grace is enjoying her time being on staff at Two Pines Resources, LLC, a CRM firm in Minnesota owned and operated by Michelle and Eva Terrell. Dr. Kaiser and Dr. Michelle Terrell have known each other since 1988, well before Grace was born! We wish her an amazing summer.

Congratulations Secretary Haaland!

Her historic role is also symbolic, as the agency was long a tool of oppression against indigenous peoples. Haaland will be key to President Biden's ambitious efforts to combat climate change.
