The wellness industry sold you “balance” like it was a destination you could actually arrive at. Spoiler: it’s not. 🙃

I actually hate the phrase, “Work/Life Balance”. I prefer to think of it as “Work/Life Flow”.

Balance isn’t a perfect split. It’s knowing what season you’re in and giving yourself permission to show up accordingly.

Some weeks work gets more of you. Some weeks your family does. Some weeks YOU do. That’s not imbalance. That’s called being human.

Drop a 💛 if this hit home. And save this for the next time you feel like you’re failing at “doing it all.”

Nobody ever told you that the system wasn’t built for you to actually win. They just handed you the load and said “you’ve got this.”

Burnout isn’t a willpower failure. It’s what happens when you’ve been doing the work of multiple people - at the office AND at home - with little to no margin left for yourself.

The fix isn’t waking up an hour earlier or downloading the latest productivity app. It’s getting honest about what you’re carrying and who put it there.

I see you ♥️

Now that I have your attention… gotta do something.

Now that I have your attention… gotta do something.

Core memories made this weekend.

We took Max to his very first NFL game and to say he was excited was the understatement of the year!

He lives for the and knows he will play for them one day 💜💛 this kid is all, “Ask, Believe, and you shall Receive!”

Grateful for moments like these.

The world feels heavy right now. And if you’ve been feeling quiet, reflective, or unsure how to show up… you’re not alone 🙋🏾‍♀️.

This season is asking many of us to hold a LOT - responsibility, emotion, uncertainty, and still the desire to build a joyful, meaningful life.

You don’t have to choose between caring deeply and caring for yourself.

You can hold both.

Your humanity is not a weakness - it’s your superpower. ✨

I wanna know - what both/and are you holding right now?

Life lately… ♥️♥️

My chest has been tight all week sending these babies (and bigs) off to school one after the other. Praying for a SAFE and JOY filled year for all of them.
Michael 11th, Sydney 9th, Maxwell 5th, and Jareck 1st year as Bloomington Kennedy’s new AAD! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Giving myself permission to disappoint people was cute…
until the guilt showed up with her sidekick: second-guessing all the things 🙃

So here’s what I had to remind myself (on repeat):

1. Their reaction isn’t my responsibility.
I can’t control how someone feels about my boundary - and it’s not my job to manage their emotions just to make myself more comfortable.

2. Discomfort doesn’t mean I did something wrong.
Saying no might feel rude or harsh at first - but that’s just your nervous system adjusting to a new normal, not a moral failing.

3. I can be kind and clear.
Boundaries aren’t mean. Vagueness is. Clear is kind, even when it’s uncomfortable. ESPECIALLY when it’s uncomfortable.

4. My peace is worth the awkward pause.
If the trade-off for protecting my energy is 10 seconds of tension? I’ll take it. Growth is usually awkward - and also sooo worth it.

If this hit, drop a 💛 in the comments or send it to a friend who’s working on their “no” muscle too.
