We are proud to host and support Rise & Thrive - Women's Networking, and mornings like on Friday this remind us exactly why building these communities is so special. Our October Featured Contributor, Schelley Roessler of Computer Medic at the BEACH, delivered such a heartfelt and powerful presentation, Get Out of Your Own Way.

Schelley opened her heart, shared her experiences, and reminded us that we never truly know what someone else may be going through. Her message was incredibly relatable and emotional, bringing a few tears to the room and sparking some really meaningful conversations. It was a beautiful reminder that networking is about so much more than exchanging business cards. It's about building genuine relationships, showing up for one another, and creating a community where people feel comfortable being themselves.

Jocelyn joined the Charlotte Area Chamber at Hyatt Centric SouthPark for Rolling Beyond Limits, with keynote speaker Cindy Sisson of Women in Motorsports North America.

The conversation centered around resourcefulness, leadership, and navigating the unexpected challenges that come with building a career or business. Along the way, there was time to meet other women in the Charlotte business community, connect with vendors, and even take part in a motorsports-inspired pit crew experience.

Thank you to Dr. Monique Stubbs, Cristal Moncur, Breanna O’Leary, and everyone involved in bringing the afternoon together, as well as vendors KellBellCo and Disco Honey.

Growing on social media isn’t about posting nonstop and hoping something sticks. A lot of it comes down to being intentional about what you’re sharing and paying attention to how your audience responds.

Create for the people you actually want to reach, show up consistently, give them a reason to interact, and don’t ignore the numbers telling you what’s resonating.

And remember, growth doesn’t always happen overnight. Keep learning what your audience likes, adjust as you go, and give your strategy time to work.

Checked out Network Charlotte at Charlotte B**r Garden and spent some time meeting other business owners and professionals in the area.

There were new introductions, conversations about what people are working on, and another chance for us to continue getting to know the Charlotte business community.

As much as our work happens online, we believe in getting out from behind the screen too. Building a presence in a community means showing up, meeting people, and letting relationships develop organically.

A little networking, a little learning, and a chance to get more familiar with what’s happening in the Charlotte area.

Earlier this month, Bumblebee attended a Charlotte Area Chamber networking breakfast at Topgolf Charlotte University, sponsored by University City Partners.

Shakira Hodges shared an update on the growth and development happening throughout University City, giving us a chance to learn more about the area while also meeting and talking with other local business professionals.

And after the presentation, there was even a little time for Topgolf. Not a bad way to mix business and networking! 😉
