Quick (maybe long) update ...

I want to thank everyone who has supported Otter Mountain while I've tried to get this project off the ground, and to those who will in the future. 2020 was a "bigger than I could have predicted" year for Otter Mountain.

5 stores began selling OM hats in the midst of a pandemic, shutdowns, etc. So ..., thank you a ton to William Gaydosh at Taos Mountain Outfitters, Palo Duro Canyon Outfitters and Taos Mountain Outfitters Red River; Bradley Whitworth at Cardinal's Sport Center; and Jahmicah Dawes at SlimPickins Outfitters. These guys all took a chance on a no name line when there are a ton of options for them to fill their floor spaces with.

Many thanks too to Pat Davis at Green River Sales, Inc. for being willing to put some stuff on his showroom floor in Denver, even though he deals with the Mountain Hardwears of the world.

One more "Thank You" to Aiden Ferguson at Native Summit for being willing to receive some samples in the coming weeks.

These guys have also mentored me in the outdoor retail industry, and have given me invaluable feedback and suggestions.

I am extremely thankful for these relationships and even better people that I've gotten to know along the journey.

As I push forward into 2021, the relationships, graphic design, website design, inventory management, etc. etc. etc. are hopefully only getting stronger.

It's challenging to start a new thing. Not challenging like fighting cancer, or losing a family member, or losing a job, but challenging in terms of juggling time, the fear of being rejected, the fear of your stuff not being good enough, late nights, fast lunches and lots of "Googling" when you have no clue what you're doing.

If you're beginning a new journey or working on a "side" journey, keep pushing ... baby steps are still "steps". I pretty much have to tell myself that every. single. day.

The big goal for Otter Mountain in 2021 is to be in 20 stores by the end of the year. I told my sweet wife and she looked at me like I'm a little bit crazy. There's probably some truth there, but nevertheless ... it's the goal.

Here's to hoping you reach your goals or START that thing you've been wanting to in 2021.
