Joseph Clark, the founder, built a two-story warehouse and began buying and selling farm products to the community. Later on, a mill in Turbotville, PA was bought and used to compliment the warehouse facility with local grain that is located in Shamokin, PA. William and Ned joined their father, Joseph, as partners after completing their education at Penn State Univ. in the 1950s. Soon after their

partnership was formed, the business expanded into the Kosher Poultry market. Local farmers from around the area were contracted to raise chickens, which were sold to markets in New York City. Railroad sites at both locations were used to supply the mills with grain and protein needed to manufacture the feed. During the 1970s, William and Ned expanded the business and decided to open two retail stores in Shamokin and Turbotville. The Turbotville facility concentrated on dairy, hogs, and the selling and buying of grain for the animals. The Shamokin store focused their energy on poultry growing and feed manufacturing. Eventually, the success of the poultry business took William even further and he expanded the Shamokin facility by opening a retail store. William retired in 1994, bringing the 3rd generation into the family business. Kenneth Clark, Robert Clark, and Sue Clark-Mansell. Clark's Ag Center was split from Clark’s Feed Mill in 2006 with Ken taking ownership. Robert and Sue took ownership of Clark’s Feed Mill. Sue passed away in 2015 with Robert taking full ownership. The 4th generation came into the Clark’s Feed Mill business in 2019. Robert’s son William started full time in the Feed Mill and Robert's daughter, Tessa Applegate started in July as Chief Financial Officer. Not a small feat to accomplish, Clark’s Feed Mill is meeting challenges and beating the odds as they eagerly move into the future as a 4th generation family business.

A Night of Gratitude & Fellowship 🌾🐓

Our annual Grower Appreciation Picnic is always one of our favorite evenings of the year — a chance to gather our growers and their families together, share a meal, fellowship, talk about the industry we all work in, and simply celebrate another year of working together.

We are especially grateful to God for allowing us to gather together for another year and for the many blessings He has given our business and the families who make it possible.

A special thank you to Ard’s Farm for graciously hosting us, Dr. Dan Bautista with Ceva for sharing valuable insight on poultry health, and The Fuller Family Band for sharing the Gospel through their beautiful music. We are also thankful for our industry partners who joined us — Murray’s Chicken, David Elliot Poultry, and Longenecker’s Hatchery.

Thank you as well to BVS for generously donating Tractor Supply gift cards for our raffle!

This year was especially meaningful as we shared updates on bird health, biosecurity, and our new feed mill — a tremendous investment in the future of Clark’s and in our ability to better serve our growers.

We didn’t take nearly enough pictures, but perhaps that’s because we were too busy enjoying the evening and the people around us. ♥️

As a fourth-generation family business, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside third-generation family partners whom we have known and worked with for decades. Together, we have the privilege of supporting a network of multigenerational farm families — including families where three generations have raised birds for Clark’s.

And this year, we were reminded that our own family legacy is continuing, too. The fifth generation of the Clark family was in attendance, as Tessa’s oldest daughter, Ellie, joined us for the evening. 🐥

There is something truly special about seeing generations of families gathered together — families who have built relationships, worked hard, and grown alongside one another over decades. It is a legacy we never take for granted.

We thank God for another successful year and for the growers, families, employees, and partners who make it possible.

Thank you for being part of the Clark’s family. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you! 🤍

We are honored to be a recipient of a Pennsylvania Agricultural Innovation Grant, receiving $130,000 to support the modernization of Clark’s Feed Mill. This investment will help us continue innovating, improving efficiency, and better serving the farmers who rely on us.

As a fourth-generation family business, we are especially grateful to have our commitment to innovation and the future of Pennsylvania agriculture recognized through this program. We’re proud to be among 97 farms and agricultural businesses across the Commonwealth receiving this year’s grants.

A sincere thank you to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Secretary Russell Redding, Governor Josh Shapiro, and the Pennsylvania General Assembly for investing in the Agricultural Innovation Grant program and recognizing the importance of keeping Pennsylvania agriculture strong, competitive, and moving forward.

We’re proud to grow here, invest here, and continue building for the generations to come. 🌾

All in a Week's Work. 🏗️ & What an incredible week it was!

Over seven days, nearly 200 workers, countless concrete trucks, and crews working around the clock came together to accomplish something that only a few years ago felt like a dream. Today, the concrete structure of our new feed mill stands tall.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to our contractors, engineers, suppliers, employees, neighbors, local officials, and everyone who played a role in making this milestone possible.

We would like to thank our community for your patience throughout the week. We know the increased traffic, lights, and activity created some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate the understanding and support shown by our neighbors.

While there is still much work ahead, this marks one of the most significant milestones in the history of our company.

Thank you for being part of this journey!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

A huge thank you to Five Stones Gym for graciously donating and preparing dinner for the hardworking crews at our new mill construction site tonight. Their generosity and support of our project and community mean so much to us!

Thanks to their kindness, we have plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers left over. Rather than let any good food go to waste, we’d love to share it with our friends, neighbors, and community members.

If you’re in the area this evening, feel free to stop by and grab a meal on us! Food will be available until it’s gone.

We’re incredibly grateful for businesses like Five Stones Gym that step up to support local projects and the people working hard to make them happen. Thank you for helping feed nearly 200 workers and for being such a blessing to our community!

🚧 Community Notice – Please Use Extra Caution Near Our Construction Site 🚧

As many of you have likely noticed while driving by over the past several months, construction is well underway on the new feed mill facility at Clark’s. This project represents an exciting milestone for our family business, which has proudly served our community and agricultural partners since 1929.

Beginning this week, we will be reaching a major phase of construction as crews work around the clock to pour the concrete structure for our new 120-foot mill tower. This phase of the project is expected to last approximately one week.

During this process:

• ~ 200 workers will be onsite throughout the week
• Construction activity will continue day and night
• Concrete trucks and other construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the site frequently
• Increased traffic and occasional delays can be expected in the surrounding area

We kindly ask all motorists, neighbors, and community members to use extra caution when traveling near the site, obey posted traffic directions, and allow additional travel time if passing through the area.

We understand this temporary increase in activity may create some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this significant step in building for the future. This new facility represents an investment in our employees, our customers, local agriculture, and the generations of families we are honored to serve.

Thank you for your continued support as we work toward this exciting milestone!
