Joseph Clark, the founder, built a two-story warehouse and began buying and selling farm products to the community. Later on, a mill in Turbotville, PA was bought and used to compliment the warehouse facility with local grain that is located in Shamokin, PA. William and Ned joined their father, Joseph, as partners after completing their education at Penn State Univ. in the 1950s. Soon after their

partnership was formed, the business expanded into the Kosher Poultry market. Local farmers from around the area were contracted to raise chickens, which were sold to markets in New York City. Railroad sites at both locations were used to supply the mills with grain and protein needed to manufacture the feed. During the 1970s, William and Ned expanded the business and decided to open two retail stores in Shamokin and Turbotville. The Turbotville facility concentrated on dairy, hogs, and the selling and buying of grain for the animals. The Shamokin store focused their energy on poultry growing and feed manufacturing. Eventually, the success of the poultry business took William even further and he expanded the Shamokin facility by opening a retail store. William retired in 1994, bringing the 3rd generation into the family business. Kenneth Clark, Robert Clark, and Sue Clark-Mansell. Clark's Ag Center was split from Clark’s Feed Mill in 2006 with Ken taking ownership. Robert and Sue took ownership of Clark’s Feed Mill. Sue passed away in 2015 with Robert taking full ownership. The 4th generation came into the Clark’s Feed Mill business in 2019. Robert’s son William started full time in the Feed Mill and Robert's daughter, Tessa Applegate started in July as Chief Financial Officer. Not a small feat to accomplish, Clark’s Feed Mill is meeting challenges and beating the odds as they eagerly move into the future as a 4th generation family business.

A huge thank you to Five Stones Gym for graciously donating and preparing dinner for the hardworking crews at our new mill construction site tonight. Their generosity and support of our project and community mean so much to us!

Thanks to their kindness, we have plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers left over. Rather than let any good food go to waste, we’d love to share it with our friends, neighbors, and community members.

If you’re in the area this evening, feel free to stop by and grab a meal on us! Food will be available until it’s gone.

We’re incredibly grateful for businesses like Five Stones Gym that step up to support local projects and the people working hard to make them happen. Thank you for helping feed nearly 200 workers and for being such a blessing to our community!

🚧 Community Notice – Please Use Extra Caution Near Our Construction Site 🚧

As many of you have likely noticed while driving by over the past several months, construction is well underway on the new feed mill facility at Clark’s. This project represents an exciting milestone for our family business, which has proudly served our community and agricultural partners since 1929.

Beginning this week, we will be reaching a major phase of construction as crews work around the clock to pour the concrete structure for our new 120-foot mill tower. This phase of the project is expected to last approximately one week.

During this process:

• ~ 200 workers will be onsite throughout the week
• Construction activity will continue day and night
• Concrete trucks and other construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the site frequently
• Increased traffic and occasional delays can be expected in the surrounding area

We kindly ask all motorists, neighbors, and community members to use extra caution when traveling near the site, obey posted traffic directions, and allow additional travel time if passing through the area.

We understand this temporary increase in activity may create some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this significant step in building for the future. This new facility represents an investment in our employees, our customers, local agriculture, and the generations of families we are honored to serve.

Thank you for your continued support as we work toward this exciting milestone!

We had a great time celebrating Ag Literacy Week today! Thank you to our friends at the Pennsylvania Friends Of Agriculture Foundation for sharing this rewarding opportunity year after year!🌾📚

Tessa visited Meadowview Christian Academy to read “Cows Can Moo, Can You?” by Dr. Seuss and spend time with the students learning all about farming. 🐄

After the story, the kids had a blast participating in a hands-on activity where they matched farm animals to the byproducts they produce—such a fun way to connect everyday items to agriculture!

We love opportunities like this to share our passion for farming and help the next generation better understand where their food and products come from! Thank you to Meadowview Christian Academy for having us!
