Proud to have guys like Roger in our community. Hardworking, dependable, and always showing up when it matters. That’s what keeps places like this going strong 💪
We appreciate everything you do! Roger Ridley Acton Fair
The Acton Fair wouldn’t be what it is today without the dedication of volunteers like Roger Ridley!
A longtime resident of Shapleigh, Roger has given countless hours, years, and heart to the fair. As a past president for many years, he helped guide the fair while keeping its strong agricultural roots alive.
With a background in dairy farming, hard work isn’t new to Roger. You’ll still find him putting that same effort into the fair today. Every year, he and his son Joe donate and plant the corn for the kids’ corn maze—something a lot of families look forward to.
When Roger does take a break, you’ll likely find him with a basket full of French fries, watching the beef and dairy shows. What makes it even more special is that Roger’s passion for the fair is being passed down. His grandkids are actively involved, showing their animals not only at Acton but at fairs across Maine.
Roger truly represents what the Acton Fair is all about—hard work, family, and keeping traditions alive for the next generation.
👏 Thank you, Roger, for everything you’ve done—and continue to do—for the fair!
