I read this on another organizer's page, and I keep thinking about it as I go through old stuff: "If I were shopping right now, would I buy this again?" What serves your life *now*? Don't keep 10 suits if you don't need to dress up for work anymore, don't keep a pasta maker just because it was on your wedding registry, don't keep an ugly vase because you feel guilty that someone gave it to you. Anyone want to share an example?
