This is both (a) an unexpectedly gripping saga I missed when most of it was unfolding and (b) such an absolutely phenomenal piece of journalism on its merits than even I, a person with no discernible interest in college football who until encountering this story had never even heard of Missouri State, read every line with rapt attention.
