Binding: $ .05 to $ .10 per inch. I will accept only clean and pressed quilts. If backings are pieced, edges must be squared/straight edges. If I have to iron or trim your quilt/backing or add to your backing, there will be a charge of up to $25. Dirty quilts will be returned. Batting: I usually have 93” wide rolls of Quilters Dream Select on hand (white & ivory) I charge by the yard (or inch where necessary). There will be no up-charging on my batt…..you pay what I pay. You can bring in your own batt, but thin batts will not be accepted such as Mountain Mist or Request. They are not conducive to the long arm. Please make sure your backing is a minimum of 8” larger than your top all the way around. This is needed to load onto the long arm. Also, your batting needs to be larger than the quilt top. This is a “pet-free” quilting zone. No dogs or cats. I do have a bird, but he is not anywhere near the quilts. Also, this is a “non-smoking” establishment. If chalk or marking pencils/pens are used on your quilt, you will be informed so that you can wash your quilt as necessary. If quilts are mailed to me, you are responsible for shipping both ways. There will be discussion as to thread color and quilting patterns before quilting commences. You will see the choices of pantographs on my flickr page (address below). Payment is to be made at time of pick up….cash or check to Faye Llombart. Pick up of your quilt is to be done in a timely manner. If your quilt is mailed to me, payment is made before the quilt is returned to you. There will be a waiting period to make sure that the check clears. I value you as a customer; and your quilt will be treated as if it were my own. View available pantographs here:

Worked on this quilt most of the day. I saw something similar in a quilt shop eons ago, took a picture, since lost that picture but it’s always been something I wanted to recreate. A couple years after seeing it, I bought all the fabric for it and there it’s sat since then. Here we are several years later. I put it together at our spring retreat and it’s been sitting on the longarm for some time. Did some custom quilting. New to me is the curved crosshatching , curlicue feathers and tried my hand at pebbles. It’s not perfect but it is done and I’m happy. It’s ready for its pink check binding

Love the colors on this customer quilt. They are bright and fresh. To mimic the motif in the fabric, I chose the Daisys Galore panto using white glide on top and white prewound bobbins on the back. The back is a lovely orange minky.

I had the pleasure of working on two of Nancy’s lovely quilts. The first one is her miniature, paper- pieced log cabins. Now mind you….. there are four log cabins in each block. I believe she said the finished block was 3 1/2 inches. I quilted it with Jessie’s swirls simplified pantograph using white Glide on top and white Filtec prewound bobbins. Even her pieced backing was lovely.

Just finished this customer quilt before the storms hit today. Used one of my fav pantos called Chantilly. This is going to the customers granddaughter . I just love the baby pink minky that shows the design so well. Don’t know the name of this pattern but I’m calling it Pennys Dusty Diamonds as the fabrics are so softly muted and dusty looking. Love this one.

These basket blocks were “first Saturday” blocks offered at Quilters Corner some 20+ years ago. I thought they needed appliqué flowers added to them, thus…. That’s why they sat so long. Well, at our last retreat this past Fall, I said it was time to put them together, especially after buying a Minnick And Simpson pattern just for their sashing. Today it got put on the longarm and I quilted it with Daisies Galore which reminded me of the retro backing. I used a gold Glide on top and Sand prewound bobbins . It will be bound before the next guild meeting… I hope.

This is Heathers quilt. It is the Moda Blockhead 4 Nocturnal Summer 2023 quilt. She asked for the Starlets panto and I did it with #65485 Glide called tidewater. Since she had a navy backing, I used navy prewound bobbins. Love the colors and each block was beautiful all by themselves.

Here’s a flannel, Irish chain with what looked to me like green and pink half square triangle butterflies along the chain. Because of those I chose to quilt this with the panto called Angel Wings that looks like butterflies. I used # 419 yellow So Fine thread top and bobbin.

Our guild is having a representative for the Veteran's come to our meeting in April and we will be presenting them with quilts that we have made. Here is the one I made from my scrap/string bags that I was looking to eliminate from my sewing room. I pulled all my red, blue and neutrals and made a string quilt. I no longer have any blues or neutrals and just a few reds from those three bags. So the whole top is from scraps along with the binding. I did buy a 108" wide fabric from RMC in Fort Gratiot (they specialize in large backings) for the backing and quilted it this morning using the Patriot panto (stars and ribbons) with Navy Glide thread on top and navy bobbins. This afternoon I applied the binding (also a scrap) and I can call this one done and ready to donate. It's amazing what you can put together with just scraps.
