Hello everyone, it's Larry Joe. So, have any of you seen an Arrowaste truck picking up your trash cans that you pay Sons Disposal to empty? If you have, you are not alone. We noticed last week Monday on our Silver Lake route, about a dozen of our cans were already emptied by an Arrowaste truck. We know this because a customer sat waiting for us to let us know what the Arrow driver had done. Now, I understand new drivers, new routes, confusion ensues. We had the same problem in the past with another local company when they would mistake our customer for one of theirs, usual when a new driver would substitute another driver's day off, sickness, etc. Plus, not all of our SonsDisposal cans have been stickered with our label so if it's unmarked, it makes it less noticeable for a new driver of another company to see. And it would sound like this...Hey honey, don't we have SonsDisposal pick up our trash? Yes sweetie. Ok, then why is a JohnDoe's Waste truck picking it up? Thank you everyone. Good Monday morning everyone. Our truck issues a week ago were resolved very quickly and had a fairly normal schedule last week, however, today we are faced with the same dilemma with only 1 truck in operation. If your trash is not picked up by sunset tonight, we will begin Tuesday morning picking up the customers we miss today. We anticipate our truck issue will be resolved soon. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Have a wonderful day.

Hello everyone, it's Larry Joe. I'm doing great and the surgeon has released me to return to driving garbagetrucks on Monday, June 8th (with extreme restrictions of course). Now the bad news...This morning as I was preforming maintenance tasks on our garbagetrucks, I became very aware of #6 truck had formed a very concerning puddle of engine oil on the ground. After locating the source, it became clear that the only way #6 was leaving the garage would be on the back of a tow truck. We are temporarily down to one functioning truck doing 2 routes tomorrow. If your trash has not been picked by tomorrow evening, we will begin pick up Tuesday morning where we left off Monday evening, so please leave your toter cart at roadside. We are hoping to have at least one of our other two spare trucks that also needed repairs to be completed this week. Sorry for this temporary inconvenience. Have a wonderful sunny Sunday afternoon.

Hello everyone, it's Larry Joe. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, your regular pickup time has been altered the last 3 weeks and may be wondering why. On Apr. 24th I was rushed to Muskegon for emergency surgery for a rupture in my large intestine. I was discharged and came home on May 6th where I am recovering faster than the surgical team expected. We have hired a helper who is helping with routes and shuttles full trucks to the landfill, saving Jeff 2.5 hours so he can continue the routes. Due to the upcoming rush of seasonal customers returning to their summer homes, we are suspending taking on new customers until after Labor Day. Our focus is on our existing customers. As soon as the doctor releases me to drive again, ( we anticipate in the first week of June ) my wife and grandson will alternate helping me get back to normal as soon as we can. We plan on keeping our helper to continue shuttling full trucks to the landfill over the summer. We greatly appreciate everyone's concern, patience, and kindness. We are currently looking for additional help for the summer months, possibly even through the end of the year. Would need to be able to start days very early in the morning, around 5 am or even earlier. CDL required, as we're looking for someone to eventually run their own routes.. Though we've tried not to let the cold weather stop us, we regret we were unable to finish our Thursday routes, and will not be able to do our Friday routes this week. Yesterday the handles on the back of the truck literally froze in place and we were unable to run our packer. With even colder temperatures this weekend, we simply cannot run the trucks outside at this point. Even after thawing out in the garage overnight, there would still be moisture in the linkages that could freeze up within minutes in these temperatures. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope to resume our routes the start of the week if the worst of the new storm has passed.
