🚧 Septic Repair – Rutherford County, NC
This customer had been dealing with a recurring septic problem and was having to have the tank pumped every few weeks. The local Health Department evaluated the property and developed plans for a new drain field.
The location and condition of the existing drain field were uncertain, but it was clear that the system was no longer functioning as it should.
We decided the best long-term solution was to abandon the existing system, install a new septic tank, and construct a completely new drain field according to the approved plans.
This project also came with a couple of surprises along the way.
During the repair, we discovered that the old septic system consisted of a large, site-built concrete-block tank with four separate inlet lines. At one time, four different homes were connected to this single septic tank. The old lines were constructed with the type of clay/terracotta pipe commonly found in older septic systems.
It was an interesting piece of history to uncover, but more importantly, we were able to replace the failing system with a properly designed and permitted septic system built to serve the property for years to come.
