The West Mason Fire Board of Fire Commissioners invites you to join us tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, for the following meetings:

- Strategic Planning Meeting: 3:00 p.m.
- Regular Commissioner Meeting: 4:00 p.m.

Both meetings will be held in person at Station 16-1, located at 4650 W Dayton Airport Road, Shelton, WA 98584.

Community members are welcome, and we hope to see you there!

Please keep a watch on the burn bans locally and statewide, they are still in effect. Our crews continue to respond to numerous fires that are in violation of current burn restrictions/bans. Please help us help you and have more patience as we are getting closer to hopefully getting out of the danger zone.

Our crews responded to another illegal burn around 5am this morning as well. As a reminder, Burning household garbage is illegal in Washington State and Mason County, including in residential fire pits. Only lawful fuels may be used in recreational fires. RCW 70A.15.5010(1), WAC 173-425-050(1), WAC 173-425-030(21), and Mason County Sanitary Code 6.72.030(f).
