Today marks Juneteenth; The anniversary of June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
It's a day that carries weight. A reminder that freedom, once declared, still had to travel. That progress is rarely immediate, and rarely finished.
It's a day for remembering, for listening, and for noticing how history continues to shape the present. Whether you mark it with family, with reading, with conversation, or with stillness, we hope it offers space for reflection.
A friendly reminder that our office, as well as the markets, are closed. We will resume normal business on Monday June 23rd.
