Happy National Coaches Day!
As a dad, it’s pretty special to look back at all the years I spent watching my two daughters out on the field playing the sports they loved, and now getting to watch them stand on the sidelines with a whistle around their necks.
I’ve watched them grow up through these sports — the practices, the games, the wins, the tough losses, and everything in between. To see them still have that same love for the game and now be able to pass it along to the kids they coach makes this dad pretty proud.
The uniforms may have changed and they may be holding the whistle now, but that love for the game is still there.
Proud doesn’t quite cover it. I’m lucky to call these two my daughters.
