You can’t make it, but still want to help or donate to this event? We are seeking and accepting candy donations at this time. We are asking if you donate candy to please buy pieces that are individually wrapped. Candy can be dropped off at our station 2 headquarters located at 1515 Clermont road.

This past weekend, Captain Foster attended the Large Animal Technical Rescue class. This class was hosted by 4 Hooves Large Animal Services at the horse park in Lexington Ky.

Large animal rescue could play a big part in several spots of our district, due to rural farm land throughout the county.

This training showed emergency service personnel how to safely remove animals from these emergencies and distress.

This past week, some of our recruits gathered on Thursday to go over SCBA’s and PPE.

Both of these play a big role in day to day operations when the tones drop, and the gear is required.

Members went over how to don and doff SBCA’s, how to don and doff the mask, and the different parts of an SCBA bottle and pack.
