Spent our Saturday with the community in New Albany, Indiana. Once again, we took part in their Touch a Truck event. This is a favorite event on our calendar every year. Best part is spending time with our family.

Our luck with trailers this month has not been great.

This tire was nearly new, but the "retainer" for the removable fender didn't do its job very well and cut the sidewall of this tire.
Third blow out in a month.

We have all new tires on the trailer now ! 😬😆

Well, we had an interesting day yesterday and grateful no one was hurt and only "stuff" was damaged.

The "short" story:
We have a company move our dozer for us. This time it was coming back to the house to do a few things here.
He got to the house and his brakes were hot and smoldering.
He got the equipment off and then, the fire took off.
There were several fire extinguishers used to no avail. In the excitement our garden hose was pulled just a little too hard and broke it off at the house, so that doesn't help.
A second, much shorter hose, was enlisted, but couldn't reach the trailer. So buckets were needed.
No one was home, so through phone calls we gave access to the garage so they could get more fire extinguishers and buckets.
At last the fire was brought into submission...but not before much damage was done.
