I’ve spent a lot of time building The Swink Group around one simple idea:

A business should not feel harder to run every year it grows.

Too many founders reach a point where they have more clients, more people, more tools, and somehow less control.
Everything still comes back to them.

A lot of businesses think they have a people problem when they actually have an operating problem.

The clients are being serviced.

And yet things still feel harder than they should.

In Operations and Customer Success, I spend a lot of time looking at a few basic questions:

Who owns the next step?

What happens when the normal process breaks?

Where does information live?

Can leadership see progress without chasing someone?

Does the client experience stay consistent when different people touch the account?

Are systems reinforcing the process, or are people constantly working around them?

Those questions sound simple.

They are also where a lot of expensive business problems hide.

The best operational improvements usually are not flashy.

They are clearer ownership.
Cleaner handoffs.
Better visibility.
Fewer unnecessary decisions coming back to the founder.
And a customer experience that does not depend on who happened to be working that day.

Two years inside the VA industry taught me something most people don't want to hear:
