I've been a Soul Diver my entire life.

Long before I learned to scuba dive.

Long before I had language for what I was doing.

I've always been curious about people, life, love, fear, and what makes us become who we are.

My newest article, Soul Diving, is one of the most personal things I've written.

I'd love to know what resonates with you.

For the past three months, pain has been one of my greatest teachers.

Not a teacher I invited.

Not a teacher I wanted.

But a teacher nonetheless.

Pain has taught me about surrender, compassion, patience, receiving help, and appreciating something I once took for granted:

Relief.

My newest Soul Library article explores what happens when our bodies finally get our attention and how we learn to stay with ourselves during life's most difficult chapters.

One of the greatest gifts of being around people at the end of life is that it strips away all the stuff that doesn't really matter.

The arguments.

The pride.

The old stories.

What remains is love.

I've sat with many people nearing the end of life, and I've noticed something: nobody wishes they had worried more. Nobody wishes they had held onto their anger longer.

What people long for is connection.

To know they mattered.

To know they were loved.

To know they made a difference.

In this week's article, I'm talking about the conversations we often postpone until it's too late.

The words:

❤️ I love you.
❤️ I'm sorry.
❤️ Please forgive me.
❤️ Thank you.

What if we stopped waiting?

What if we said them now?

I'd love to know:

If there were one person you could speak to today, what would you want them to know?

With love,
Shelley ❤️

For years, people have referred to me as an end-of-life trainer and death doula.

While that's certainly part of what I do, it has never been the whole story.

The truth is, I've always been fascinated by life and death.

They're two sides of the same coin.

The question has never been:
"How do we die?"

The question has always been:
"How do we live?"

How do we make the most of this precious life while we're here?

How do we love more deeply?

Laugh more often?

Follow our Soul Design?

Leave people feeling seen?

My newest article is a reflection on what I've learned from sitting with the dying, loving the living, traveling the world, healing my own heart, and embracing this wild, precious human experience.

Life was never meant to be survived.

It was meant to be experienced.

I'd love to know:
If you knew your life mattered exactly as it is right now, what would you stop worrying about and start experiencing more fully?

I always have the pleasure of being on Big Blend Radio’s Media with our monthly Soul Diving Sunday with Shelley show. Last Sunday, Lisa and I explored why transformational life coaching can be a powerful path to happiness.

This conversation is about living more consciously, reconnecting with what matters, and allowing ourselves to grow — gently, honestly, and with heart.
