Terrific auction of 30 vintage tractors, 3 vintage trucks and a horse-drawn sled all taken back to original factory condition. Blew the doors off at auction. Also sold about 100 pieces of farm equipment and miscellaneous. Worked with my brother and that's always fun. Next one is in Nebraska November 8 at Auburn. Picture below is a couple years ago of my brother's sale during late fall...he's taking bids while I relieve him for awhile.

Honored to have been asked to serve as the auctioneer next weekend at the Hawkeye Fly Fishing Assoc. annual banquet. Did the central state portion of this group in Ankeny, IA last year and they told the chair of the eastern portion of the state "ya gotta' get this guy...he turned our banquet into a blast with his humor and raised more funds than we've ever raised." Humbling to hear but makes me proud. And this year will be fun as well...fishing trips throughout eastern Iowa, northern Illinois and fun fishing items at the live auction. Check it all out at Hawkeye Fly Fishing Association web site if you want to go. Banquet (blue jeans welcome) starts at 6 pm in Coralville. Other details at their web. Wanna' ride along...let me know.
