Cell phone calls should be able to get through to 899 numbers. If you are still receiving the "899 Lima Ohio All Circuits Are Busy" tone when calling an 899 number, or someone tells you they are still receiving that message, please email us at [email protected] or Facebook Message us, or call us at 419-899-2121. We appreciate everyone's patience as our upstream provider worked to resolve this issue.

Below is our response from BrightSpeed on the cell phone calling 899 number issue. This is in the Detroit area and controls calling for Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
Please email us at [email protected] with a good contact number so that we can call you if you are having an issue, needing to make a payment, update a payment, ect. You may also message our page with that same information as well.
Again, we do apologize for this inconvenience. If you would like to go straight to tech support, their number is 888-999-8002 option 2.

"The OSPE has advised that continuous efforts to engage the railway authority for a dispatched rail flagger have been unsuccessful. Additionally, it has been determined that there are four (4) utility pipelines within 25 feet of the damage location, which require a representative be present onsite during any excavation work taking place. Currently, the earliest that all mandated representatives are available is Thursday, September 10, 2026. The OSPE and Lumen Management Teams remain engaged and working to establish communications to expedite recovery efforts; however, further contact with necessary parties is not anticipated to be successful until morning hours. As such, the next update will be provided by 13:00 GMT, or as new information becomes available."

There is an issue with cell phones calling Sherwood 899 telephone numbers. SMTA as well as Brightspeed (our upstream provider) are aware of the issue and Brightspeed is and has been working to get it fixed. On the cell phone calling side they may hear "Lima Ohio all circuits are busy". We currently do not have an ETA on when it will be fixed but will post an update once it is.

Today, both of our offices are closing at 11am today and will be closed all day on Monday September 7th. Both of our offices have drop boxes for paperwork and or payments.
