EASTER 2026...Some wander why people choose to be logger, foresters, or sawmillers. I was always told 'sawdust is just in your blood' but I think thats only part of the story. We get to be face to face with creation every day. Making decisions and stewarding the land that ultimately will impact generations of timber and families. We get to see the how our decisions immediately change the landscape for many species of wildlife. Changes that can be good in most cases and bad in others. We are expected to act in the best interest for the land and always shoulder that responsibility.
The highlight that means so much to us is that we get to see the process of regeneration. We might take a peice of worn out land and completely change it in a relatively short period of time. Then as years pass watch as that land changes its form, function, productivity, and maybe its purpose. The building blocks were always there but we have to stress the forest in just the right way to induce a change! Sacrifice, death, then RESURRECTION! we see this first hand!
As we celebrate Easter this year we are reminded of Jesus Christ's sacrifice, death, and resurrection. As Jesus died on that tree he didnt say "those humans, they never learn" instead he said "Father forgive them for they dont know what they do" (Luke 23:34) Jesus knew his purpose and willingly gave himself for us. He defeated death in the resurrection and promises us that same life (Romans 6:23) This Easter ask yourself if God is asking you to make a change, maybe even one that could impact your 'form, function, productivity, and maybe your purpose' its a decision that can impact generations
GOD BLESS,
