First of all congratulations to all LD4 candidates and on to November.
I would like to express sincere gratitude for everyone who supported my primary run for New Jersey General Assembly Legislative District 4, especially Camden County GOP, for placing their trust in me to represent the conservative values of the Republican party. Thank you to my family, my many friends and colleagues both old and new, who supported my campaign with both funding and time. The many hours spent campaigning across Atlantic, Camden, and Gloucester counties did not go unnoticed. I have received dozens of messages commending this venture and the disappointment that I fell short. It’s what you learn from losses that makes you a winner.
I apologize for waking sleeping babies, interrupting meals, making dogs bark, or adding distractions during a virtual work meeting when I came to your door! I also found keys on the outside of a locked door, caught a loose dog, brought in recycling cans, and educated many on elected positions and legislative districts. Through my many decades of life, I have learned much through both formal education and life lessons, and the last three months have been very enlightening. It’s not the doctorate, but the many life lessons along the way that have taught me how to work with people, especially military service and my nursing career. For 23 years, Gallup’s annual Most Honest and Ethical Professions Poll considers nurses to be the most trusted profession, and having more nurses as legislators would be beneficial to our state and nation to make meaningful change in government. I owe extra gratitude to Alicia (actual certified campaign accountant) and Denise, my campaign manager for your direction and endurance. There are many more who supported me and you know who you are! Feel free to reply on the post. I will not divulge your identity!
