Another impactful day for our Leadership Cheyenne County class! 💡
This session, Julie Shoemaker led an insightful workshop on Gallup Strengths, helping participants better understand how to lead with their natural talents. The class focused on:
✔️ Leaning into their strengths
✔️ Identifying blind spots that can come with those strengths
✔️ Strategies to prevent and minimize burnout
These future leaders are gaining valuable tools to grow both personally and professionally! 🙌

🎓 Congratulations to the Leadership Cheyenne County Class of 2025! 🎉
Our final session wrapped up with an inspiring presentation from Sarah Sinnett, who spoke on the power of leadership through service — emphasizing the importance of volunteerism, community involvement, and building meaningful connections both locally and across the state.

The day continued with a lunch, tour, and graduation ceremony at Boss City, celebrating the incredible growth and dedication this class has shown over the past 10 months.

We are so proud of each graduate and can’t wait to see how you continue to make a difference and lead our community forward! 💪🌟

Leadership Cheyenne County – September Session Recap! 🌟

👉 Success Signals with Cory Keen – The class dove into communication styles, discovering their own strengths and how to adapt when communicating with others.

👉 Behind the Scenes at Wheatbelt – The group got an inside look at leadership paths and how performance is managed within the organization following an insightful tour of the facility.

👉 Touring Fanny’s Fruit Farm – We wrapped up the day delicious drinks, fresh air, good laughs, and great lessons from the agri-tourism world. Hearing Fanny’s story of challenges and successes was the perfect way to end the day!

✅ Explored the 5 Behaviors of Personal Development
✅ Connected it back to our DiSC assessment
✅ Learned how to work with all personalities — doers, influencers, analytical thinkers, and contributors

✈️ Huge thanks to L&L Aviation for the airport tour
🏢 And to Matt Monheiser for showing us inside the large corporate buildings currently for lease

💐 A special thank you to Jamie Weingart — this was her last class instructing our 2025 group. She has been a phenomenal guide and has taught us so much throughout this journey!

Leadership Cheyenne County would like to thank everyone who donated and participated in our Fill the Bus, Fuel the Future school supply campaign. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide school supplies for teachers at Creek Valley, Leyton, Sidney, and Potter-Dix.

👏 A special thank-you goes out to the businesses that hosted collection sites and contributed donations. Your support helped make this project a success and ensured local teachers and students have the tools they need for a great school year.

Help our LCC Class “Fill the Bus” with essential school supplies for students and teachers in our area! Donations will be sorted and evenly distributed among Sidney, Potter, Leyton, and Creek Valley Schools this fall.
