Creative Marketing Strategies

I’ve been in the middle of reworking my own website, so naturally I started thinking about everyone else’s, too. 😂

I know so many businesses doing great work. I want someone finding them for the first time to see what I see.

So I built a free website check through CMS. It looks at what your website tells Google and AI search tools about your business, with a few suggestions on where to give it some attention.

Business-owner friends, try yours. I’d love to hear what you think.

There’s something incredibly cool about walking into a company and seeing your photography living on the walls.

Not tucked away in a folder. Not used once and forgotten. Displayed proudly as part of the space, the culture and the story of the people who work there.

Because great photography doesn’t just show what a company does. It celebrates the people who make it what it is.

This was pretty damn cool to see today.

We're so proud of how this story turned out for our client, Minster Bank. We loved meeting Olde English Outfitters and telling this story.

Thank you Sidney Daily News!

Good things have been happening behind the scenes at Creative Marketing Strategies, and today I finally get to share one of them.

I'm excited to welcome Sarah Kirkpatrick as Creative Director.

Over the past several months, [cms] has been growing with intention, and bringing Sarah on is an exciting part of what's next. She's incredibly talented, thoughtful, creative, and understands that the best work starts with listening. She shares the same passion for helping organizations tell their story in meaningful ways, and I know our clients are going to love working with her.

For me, this is about continuing to build the kind of agency our clients can count on for great ideas, thoughtful strategy, and work that makes an impact.

Sarah, welcome to CMS. I can't wait to see what we create together.

Every video shoot is different.

Different people. Different businesses. Different stories waiting to be uncovered.

Today's shoot came with great conversations, familiar faces, and three cameras full of footage I'm excited to dive into.

Hot take: Print isn't dead.

It's just waiting for marketers to stop treating it like their weird uncle at Thanksgiving. 😅

While everyone's chasing the next digital trend, one of my favorite projects of the year just landed in my hands.

Months of ideas, interviews, writing, photography, design, edits, and collaboration all come together in these pages, and getting to be part of creating it every year is pretty incredible.

The best brands don't pick sides. They use print and digital together.
