Another illegal dove season shooting has knocked out some services on County Road 751 and D Hwy in Stoddard County. This spot is about a mile and 1/2 south of the JP Ross Cotton Gin at Frisco, and a couple miles-ish north of Mayberry Seed Company. Temporary repairs are made but permanent and more expensive repairs will have to occur later to get fixed properly.
If you know who was hunting this field entrance shown, anonymous reports can be turned into Operation Game Thief at 800-392-1111

Another illegal dove season shooting from Hwy 91 this evening is yet again affecting services in Bell City. Just west of where CR 440 comes to 91 really close to where this 91 sign on center of the map snip is, someone shot illegally from the road off the lines. Crews are making temporary repairs tonight in hopes we can limit the duration of the outage.
The MO Dept of Conservation is asking to report any information anonymously to their Operation Game Thief hotline at 800-392-1111.

DOVE SEASON REMINDER: KNOW YOUR TARGET

Know your target. Know what’s beyond it.
Aim for the dove…not the line.

As dove season begins, GoSEMO Fiber and SEMO Electric Cooperative would like to remind everyone to hunt safely and responsibly.

Please DO NOT shoot at fiber or electric service lines, equipment, or other utility infrastructure.

A single shot can cause much more than property damage. It can interrupt electric, internet and phone services, including communications relied upon by public safety and government agencies.

Damage to utility infrastructure can also result in serious criminal charges and significant repair costs.

*Missouri Revised Statutes § 569.117, effective August 28, 2026, says that when damage to a critical infrastructure facility causes an “interruption, impairment, or degradation of service,” the offense is a Class C felony regardless of the value of the damage.
