I'm always listening with my one straight ear to see if my new family has arrived. I keep my other ear half bent because the straight one works in overdrive. Somebody has to rest.

I miss my family so much. They weren't able to keep me, but I still have a whole lot of love to give. Every set of footsteps in the hallway could be yours. So I listen.

🍬 Rhymes With Sweetie

My name is Petey, which happens to rhyme with sweetie. And well, I am! Anytime I see a human outside my kennel, my spirits soar. Meeting new people is one of my very favorite things.

🐾 Out on a Walk

The volunteers here are the best, and I make their job easy. I'm easy to leash and easy to walk. Every so often I look back, just to make sure I'm not going too fast and my person is right alongside me. We're a team out there.

🏡 What I Bring Home

I've lived with small dogs, cats, and young children, so a busy house is something I know well. I'm housetrained. I know "sit," and I'll gladly show you for a treat. I'm a big fan of belly rubs, and I'm just as happy lounging around the house with my people as I am getting all the attention.

I know it's me talking about myself, and I don't want to sound too sure of myself. But I'm the real deal. Family ready.

Hi! I’m handsome Henry! I've lived in a home with dogs and cats. I would do great with a family that has another dog but I’d be content as your only snuggle bud too. I am not going to do well in a home with kids or teenagers. I am wary of strangers and need a slow introduction to new people. I’ll need some help and patience with some basic obedience but I’m a quick learner. And I’m already housebroken!
