JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
MCA-BELIZE – EMPLOYER’S REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT
Submarine Power Cable Infrastructure Project | Belize

Delta Engineering Group LLC (DEG), in association with Kilimanjaro Construction Ltd., is inviting qualified professionals to submit their CVs for consideration for an upcoming international engineering consultancy assignment in Belize.

KEY PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

1. Team Leader / Employer’s Representative
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in major power transmission infrastructure
• Experience with EPCI/Turnkey contracts and FIDIC Silver Book or equivalent
• Relevant leadership experience on major transmission/submarine cable assignments

2. Submarine Power Cable Engineer
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of experience
• Experience on at least 3 submarine cable projects within the past 15 years
• Expertise in cable design, route engineering, thermal studies, landfalls, protection, FATs, installation and commissioning

3. Marine Installation Specialist
• Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Experience on at least 3 completed submarine power cable installations within the past 15 years
• Expertise in cable laying, burial, vessel selection, marine risk assessment, shallow-water installation and landfalls

🚨 BILLIONS OF BIRR SPENT, YET ETHIOPIA’S ROADS CONTINUE TO SUFFER!

After nearly three decades of massive investment in road construction, Ethiopia should have one of the most developed highway networks in Africa. With the resources invested over the years, we could almost have built a highway to heaven!

Instead, we continue to witness deteriorating roads, delayed construction projects, inadequate maintenance, and serious financial challenges.

The Federal Auditor General has documented significant financial-control weaknesses across Ethiopian public institutions, including unsupported expenditures and procurement irregularities.

The widely reported ETB 98 billion financial scandal has raised serious national concerns, although that figure has not been established as an amount misused by ERA.

THE ETHIOPIAN PEOPLE DESERVE ANSWERS!

❓ Why have Ethiopian-American engineering and construction companies faced barriers to competing for projects in their country of origin?

❓ Have road construction contracts been awarded to internationally blacklisted or debarred foreign companies?

❓ Who is responsible for investigating questionable contract awards, project delays, cost overruns, and financial irregularities?
