Infra Innovations, Inc. We are a consulting company specializing in energy and aerospace issues. Our services are categorize

At Infra Innovations, Inc., we offer pipeline inspection services and advanced technology products for the water, sewer, gas, and power industries. What we do is to inspect underground pipeline (water, sewer, and gas) for leaks and corrosion. The inspection technique we employ can detect potential problems (pipe leaks and electrical discharges) in high voltage underground electrical systems. After

inspection, if problems are found, we assemble repair teams from various technical partners, and implement and manage repair and maintenance work.

When the coronavirus pandemic reached Wyoming, Laramie County and the city of Cheyenne both anticipated losing about 25% of their sales tax revenue. But thanks to the construction of the Roundhouse Wind Energy project performing better than expected, sales tax revenues from July through October have increased by 20.5% from 2019.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero -- the names of digital-based 'cryptocurrencies' are being heard more and more frequently. But despite having no physical representation, these new methods of exchange are actually harming the environment.

In a new paper titled 'Cryptodamages: Monetary value estimates of the air pollution and human health impacts of cryptocurrency mining' published in the Journal of Energy Research & Social Science, University of New Mexico researchers estimate the environmental impact of these cryptocurrency mining techniques. Using existing data that assessed energy use on cryptocurrency, and a battery of economic valuation techniques, the study gave a monetary figure on the mining practices.

Cryptocurrency mining uses significant amounts of energy as part of the proof-of-work time-stamping scheme to add new blocks to the chain. Expanding u…

The Annual energy flowcharts from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory show that over the past decade, wind power has increased 396 percent and solar power is up 956 percent in the United States. Of course, a very small share can rise by many percentage points and still be small, but that traditional narrative about wind and solar no longer holds true: together they now provide 3.48 quads (quadrillion BTU) of electricity—the amount greater than all hydropower generated in the United States!

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) announced on Oct. 23rd that planned power shutoffs for 179,000 customers to reduce wildfire risks will begin at 2 PM. The company has published a map showing the areas affected by the power outage.

PG&E will decide Wednesday morning whether to cut off power to 184,000 Northern California customers in fire-prone areas. Officials say a shutoff could begin Wednesday and run into Thursday.

Blue Carbon Iniatives
Blue carbon is the carbon dioxide captured by the world’s ocean and coastal ecosystems. This carbon is stored in the form of biomass and sediments from mangroves, tidal marshes and seagrass meadows. Blue carbon is the most effective, yet overlooked, method for long term sequestration and storage of carbon.

Coastal ecosystems are some of the most productive on Earth. They provide us with essential ecosystem services, such as coastal protection from storms and nursery grounds for fish. We also know that they provide another integral service - sequestering and storing "blue" carbon from the atmosphere an...

Estimates from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory showed that the State of Oregon has potential to install over 27,000 megawatts of onshore wind power. The offshore wind potential is estimated at 225,000 MW, and would be capable of generating 962,723 million kWh.

Under Senate Bill 838, wind, solar, geothermal and other types of renewable power must account for 25 percent of an electric utility's retail sales by 2025. Intermediate requirements set the standard at 5 percent by 2011, climbing gradually until 2025.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has announced that the Hayabusa2 spacecraft has packed up the capsule that will ferry its precious space-rock cargo back to Earth in preparation to leave the asteroid Ryugu later this year.

Hayabusa2 completed its second and final sampling maneuver in July. The endeavor's completion likely means that the spacecraft's three-chamber sample storage mechanism is full up, with bits of rock from both the surface and the interior of Ryugu.

The sampling chamber has now been stored inside the re-entry capsule, which will be the only part of the spacecraft to return to Earth. That capsule should arrive home in late 2020.

Following a pair of successful touchdowns onto the surface of Ryugu, Japan’s Hayabusa2 probe is packing its precious cargo as it prepares to bring samples of the asteroid back to Earth.
