Hey honey child! What yall doing?

Me? Just finished playing with dirt and rocks. Seriously, I took a couple days to clear my head and to rest my body.

Thank goodness for friends like my good sis Dr. Karma Hill She and I were talking last Wednesday, and she taught me about "Decision Fatigue" as a sign of burnout. I am familiar with "Compassion Fatigue" working in the mental health space, but I wasnt as familiar with Decision Fatigue. Well, after our conversation, I realized that I needed to have a brain break...so I did just that. I gave my brain a break. After watching substance free silly videos all day Friday, I decided to go play in the dirt and build a rock garden.

FYI, my Oldest offspring has loved rocks since they could walk, so I have a RIDICULOUS amount of rocks in my garage and various other places in my house.

Anyway, tomorrow (Sunday) is another day of rest before getting back to making decisions. I may go get some wildflowers to put in my rock garden!

Why am I posting this? Because my success isnt just about workshops, clients, contracts and coaching. Its about having the ability to play with rocks so that I can be good with my clients, workshops contracts and coaching! Here are some before & after pictures!

Hey Honey Child!

I almost forgot to post about the ICF - South Carolina Chapter Annual Meeting and in person Workshop. As the current President if ICF-SC, I had the opportunity to highlight the chapters success with Diane Lasorda by my side and to officially announce our collaboration with Dr. Angela D. Carter and the good work she is doing at Clemson. Dr. Carter led an impactful workshop on Storytelling, and those who attended had the opportunity to not only come together, but to connect. Oh, and I brought BUBBLES!!!🫧🫧

This was the last big event that the chaper will have for 2025. The leadership team is taking some time to rest, reflect, plan and prepare for 2026. I'm so proud if the Good Work we are doing!

2026 promises to be just as impactful for Coaches accross South Carolina. here's to another year as Chapter President and another year of doing good work!

Dr. Carter (who is a member of ICF - South Carolina Chapter ) recently presented at ICF Converge in San Diego. It's an honor to have her come present to our members. Attendees are in for a treat!

Hey honey child! This week I had the opportunity to present on Community Building to the Greenville County HEAL Board. The HEAL Board is a group of multicultural leaders who work with the community to advocate for better health and quality care for everyone.

My main point: Building community is hard, Sustaining Community is harder, and in times such as this the last thing we need to be doing is "falling for the banana in the tailpipe". If you want to know what I'm talking about, or have thoughts on the topic of community building & sustainability...let's talk about it!
